Templer Way Challenge

The Templer Way Challenge is our biggest annual fundraiser, and this year will be the 11^th event

This walk is 18 miles between Haytor on Dartmoor and Teignmouth on the south coast; the Way traces the route by which granite was exported from Dartmoor via the unique Haytor Granite Tramway and the Stover Canal.

Whilst we can’t promise good weather we can promise an interesting walk passing through lots of different scenery following an historic route pretty much all down hill to the sea! Throughout you will be accompanied by members of Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton, who will keep everyone on track and provide help as required.

The walk finishes on the green at Shaldon, outside the London Inn. We will provide minibus transfers back to the start from here.

We ask that all participants raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship, but if you are able to raise more this will be much appreciated, the biggest fundraiser on the event will be offered the chance to be a casualty on one of our exercises and experience up close what we get up to*
