Paramedics were in attendance to assess the casualty’s injury before she was packaged on to our stretcher. Once secure, a rope system was put in place to relay the casualty up the steep side of the valley to safety and a land ambulance.

The lady was taken to hospital to have her injury x-rayed.

Our duty search manager commented “This was a perfect example of our volunteers working alongside full-time emergency service personnel to effect the safe rescue of casualty from a difficult to access location. We wish the lady a very speedy recovery.”
