Callout report – Following a very long search on Thursday looking for Ashburton man Morley Petherick, our Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team (DSRT) Ashburton volunteers were asked to cover additional search areas today. The searching continued for the missing man in the Ashburton area. Police concern for 88 year old in Torquay A team callout was issued at 17:13 on Tuesday 25th November to assist the Police in searching for an elderly vulnerable male that had gone missing during the day in Torquay and hadn’t been seen since around 08:30am. Exeter student defeated by thick mist A female student from Exeter found herself disorientated this evening after she was caught out by mist on the Avon Dam Reservoir area of south Dartmoor. Torquay Pensioner found following major search At 17:43 today, our team of volunteers were called out to assist Devon and Cornwall Police in searching for a missing elderly male in the Babbacombe area of Torquay. We were very pleased to hear that he had been found safe and well by the Lifeboat crew at 19.55. Over 20 members were already en route or at the RV point, but we were all happy to return home, knowing that the gentleman was in safe hands.
