Blackpool Sands search for missing teenager

At 13:44 on Tuesday 14th June the team were called to assist the Devon and Cornwall Police with a search for a missing vulnerable teenager in the Blackpool Sands area of the South Hams.

Also in attendance were the Coastguard, RNLI boats from Salcombe and Dartmouth, the Maritime & Coastguard Agency helicopter from St Athan in South Wales and our colleagues from our sister team at DSRT Plymouth.

Searching of the local area continued until beyond dusk. At 11pm with the mid-summer light fading, Police decided to close the search for the evening without the missing female having been located.

The Police investigation continues and are appealing for information from the public in helping to locate the missing teenager as the search continues,
