Junior Doctor goes missing in Torquay

Shortly after 20:00 on Friday 12th February, a full team callout was initiated to search for a missing female in her mid 20’s who Devon and Cornwall Police were very concerned about.

The search was focused around the Hopes Nose / Ansteys Cove area of Torquay and consisted of multiple agencies including the Coastguard, RNLI and Helicopter.

Our team of volunteers were stood down around 02:00 and placed on further stand-by to continue the search later in the morning once light. The team has been in further communication with the Police today and as yet no further search activity is required by our volunteers.

Update

Rose’s body was recovered from the sea of Weymouth at the beginning of April. Our thoughts and condolences are with Rose’s family as they mourn her loss.
